Koyama back to full strength

Tomoyoshi Koyama, rider for the Malaguti Ajo Corse team, was released from hospital on Friday after having been admitted for tests during the Czech Republic Grand Prix. The Japanese rider explained the circumstances behind his stay under the observation of doctors to motogp.com:

"After dinner on Thursday, I felt very nauseous and wasn't at all well. The Grand Prix weekend was a pretty bad one for me. When I got back to Japan on the Tuesday I went immediately to hospital, although now I am completely over the illness."

It is the latest in a string of setbacks for Koyama this season, who broke his ankle in Jerez at the opening race of the season and fractured his wrist in Catalunya, missing three races.

Despite the misfortune, the Japanese rider has ridden well, a fact which hasn't gone unnoticed by other teams. "I have received a number of offers for next season, one of which being KTM. I am going to evaluate each one carefully, but for the moment I am focusing on the next few races," said Koyama.
