Barbera confident of reaping rewards for hard work

Spanish rider Hector Barbera has had a mixed season for Fortuna Aprilia. One of the title contenders in the 250cc category early on in the season, he was forced out of a number of races due to an arm injury. In these final races Barbera will be going all out finish the season on a high, as he commented to motogp.com ahead of the Malaysian race.

What are you expecting from these last few races?

"Sepang and Phillip Island are two tracks that I like and at which I hope to earn good results. We're coming up to three very important races, and with their close proximity to each other nobody can afford to lose concentration."

Despite having missed two races, third place is still within your grasp. Is this one of your goals?

"My only goal is to do as well as I can in the remaining races. There is no pressure and I hope to make the most of the situation."

Are you still having problems with the arm injury, or is history now?

"The recovery process wasn't easy, but right now I am completely recovered and not experiencing any bother."

You're on a run of 3 successive fifth places. What is missing for you to take that step up to podium positions?

"Races are just like that. A lot of times you do a good job but for different reasons you don't achieve your goals. In these next few races I hope to finally get on the podium."

How do you see your chances of another victory this season?

"I am fully confident about myself and my team, we're doing a good job and sooner or later we will reap the rewards."
