Kallio remains man to beat in 125cc practice

Mika Kallio, provisional poleman for tomorrow's GMC Australian Grand Prix, led the way in the second free practice session this morning by just over three tenths of a second. His time of 1'36.726 put him ahead of World Championship leader Alvaro Bautista and Derbi Racing's Lukas Pesek, the only riders to go round in under 1'37.

Sergio Gadea, Thomas Luthi and Gabor Talmacsi completed the top six in the session, ahead of Mattia Pasini, Hector Faubel, Joan Olive and Julian Simon. The fastest ten all beat the 1'38 barrier as they prepare for this afternoon's crucial qualifying practice at Phillip Island.
