Aoyama brothers fastest in opening 250cc session

The Aoyama brothers, Hiroshi and Shuhei, topped the timesheets at Twin Ring Motegi this morning in the first 250cc practice session for Sunday's A-Style Grand Prix of Japan. Older sibling Hiroshi was just over half a tenth faster on his Red Bull KTM, clocking a 1'53.382 lap at the circuit where he was victorious last season.

Countryman Yuki Takahashi came in third, ahead of Alex de Angelis, Andrea Dovizioso and Sylvain Guintoli. Hector Barbera and series leader Jorge Lorenzo were seventh and eighth respectively, ahead of Roberto Locatelli and Jakub Smrz.
