World Champion Bautista starts well at Motegi

Alvaro Bautista followed up his race and championship victory at Phillip Island with the fastest time in the first 125cc Free Practice at Twin Ring Motegi. The Spaniard clocked a fastest time of 1'58.853, ahead of Red Bull KTM riders Julian Simon and Mika Kallio. An all-Aspar triumvirate completed the top six, consisting of Mattia Pasini, Sergio Gadea and Hector Faubel. Czech riders Lukas Pesek and Karel Abraham, alongside Thomas Luthi and Nico Terol, rounded off the top ten at the Japanese circuit.
