New chassis for Roberts Jr at Motegi test

After a busy day of testing on Monday, Kenny Roberts Jr left Japan satisfied with the incorporation of a new chassis for the remainder of the season. Having taken ninth place the day before at Twin Ring Motegi, the American was able to lower his fastest race time whilst trying out the new addition.

"The bike is in better shape than it has ever been," explained Roberts Jr. "The team have constructed a saddle that is well adapted to my riding style, and with the new chassis we've also used a new suspension configuration, something which has given a better balance to the bike. We made some adjustments in the power and also experimented with the brakes, with the end result being a better grip in the rear tyre."
