The Red Bull MotoGP Academy gets set for Catalunya

The riders taking part in the second installment of the Red Bull MotoGP Academy met up again this week in Barcelona, with the purpose of undertaking a two-day test at Montmelo. The practices serve as the ideal preparation for the next round of the CEV Buckler, which takes place next week at the Circuit de Catalunya.

There is an obvious pedigree amongst the hopefuls taking part, with youngsters Kev Coghlan and Jonas Folger second and fourth respectively in the 125cc Spanish Championship. Four weeks ago in Valencia the two had a fierce battle for a podium place, as both chase leader Pol Espargaro.

British riders Scott Redding and Daniel Webb join up with Japanese youngster Takaaki Nakagami and Spaniard Isaac Viñales in the top ten, all intending to follow in the footsteps of last year's runner up and successful 125cc rookie Bradley Smith as Red Bull MotoGP Academy graduates.
