MotoGP takes part in licensing fair

MotoGP means many things to many people. For the riders it is the realisation of a dream, the ultimate challenge on two wheels. For the fans, it is a breathtaking spectacle that borders on a way of life. Away from the track, there are also a number of companies for whom the World Championship is also an exciting commercial prospect, as they look to develop their products in conjunction with MotoGP.

Last week saw MotoGP present at Brand Licensing 2006, a trade fair held at the National Hall Olympia in London. Thousands of visitors passed through the doors of the fair over the two days, checking out the 170 exhibitors. 60 were participating for the first time, rubbing shoulders with television series rights holders and members of Hollywood studios.

The MotoGP stall was resplendent with a range of existing merchandise to give examples of the licensing work already undertaken, and also a version of Valentino Rossi's 2006 Yamaha M1 to catch the eye as part of an attractive display.
