Repsol Honda could yet show teamwork

Although individually Valentino Rossi has the definitive advantage in the overall classification, as a team Repsol Honda still only have to depend on their own results to give Nicky Hayden his first World Title in Valencia. The results of both Hayden and team-mate Dani Pedrosa will be key to the American's chances, although nearly all championship eventualities involve a Hayden win at Cheste if he is to cut the 8 point gap between himself and the Italian.

If Pedrosa can get inbetween Hayden and Rossi at the finish line, he will have made large amends for the crash in Portugal last weekend. If not the Spaniard, then Hayden will have to depend on another rider from the MotoGP grid separating the two title contenders, or Rossi finishing outside the points. All these eventualities complicate matters for Hayden, who has to hope that renowned "big game player" Rossi doesn't rise to the occasion.
