Andrea Dovizioso to receive Collare d´Oro

In a ceremony today Humangest Racing Team rider Andrea Dovizioso will today receive the ‘Collare d'Oro', which represents the highest prize that CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) has been given since 1995 to Olympic athletes, world champions and winners of special international events. Dovizioso receives this prize rather belatedly, a reward for having taken the 125cc World Title in 2004. The ceremony takes place in Rome at the CONI Palace and the prizes will be given by the Italian premier Romano Prodi.

"I am very honoured and happy to receive such an important prize and I hope this is the first of a long series. I'm also happy for my team as they worked hard to achieve this significant goal," said Dovizioso, who has another shot at the award and, more importantly, the 250cc World Title this weekend in Valencia.
