Nine wildcards set to ride in Valencia

Nine riders will take part in the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana as wildcards, with some welcome returns from faces seen earlier in the season.

Garry McCoy will continue riding the Ilmor, having achieved two milestones in Estoril. The Australian earned the first points for both the Ilmor team and an 800cc bike when he came in 14th, albeit having to pass through the pits to fix his ride.

The 250cc category sees reinforcements for Jorge Lorenzo, who will have Alex Debon returning to his side to aid in the Majorcan's title quest. As hinted at in an interview on this very website two weeks ago, Chaz Davies will make another appearance in the quarter litre class before looking to move up to four stroke competition next season, alongside fellow Brit Dan Linfoot and Spaniards Alvaro Molina and Santiago Barragan.

125xx semi-regular rider Randy Krummenacher will once again be on track, alongside Daniel Saez and Hugo van den Berg.
