Stoner misses free practice with back complaint

Casey Stoner missed this morning's free practice session in Valencia through a back complaint, and was taken to hospital for further examination. The Australian this morning complained of pains along his spine, and was taken to specialists on the recommendation of the Clinica Mobile.

motogp.com grabbed Luccio Cecchinello shortly after the practice to find out more details about the situation.

"I don't believe it is a serious injury, it may just be the result of an awkward movement yesterday that has got worse overnight. Going to hospital is just a precautional measure," commented the LCR Honda boss.
