Pablo Nieto on "positive" 250cc change

Something of a 125cc veteran, Pablo Nieto finally makes the jump to 250cc with the Wurth Honda BQR team in 2007. The Spaniard has wasted no time in getting onto his new ride, testing last week at Valencia with the quarter litre bike.

"I am really happy with the move and the bike. It's a big change, but a fun one. Like anything, you have to put in a lot of hard work if you want to go fast," commented Nieto to motogp.com.

"I spent many years in 125cc. There were some good ones, and some not so good ones, but this change is a positive move which is sure to provide me with a new lease of motivation," he added, before assessing the 250cc field.

"The top six in 2006 were head and shoulders above the rest of the competition. This coming season I don't think that will be the case, and we might see six or seven riders realistically fighting for the title," concluded the Spaniard.
