De Angelis flattered by MotoGP interest

The Master MVA Aspar team announced last week that Alex de Angelis will continue to ride with the Valencian 250cc outfit next season, lining up alongside 125cc World Champion Alvaro Bautista.

There were various offers on the table for the San Marino rider, including talks with MotoGP teams about a possible move up in categories. The Aprilia rider gave an interview to motogp.com in which he explained the reasoning behind continuing his 250cc progress.

"It has been satisfying to see the interest in me from nearly every MotoGP constructor. I value it a lot, it shows that there is recognition for the work that I am doing," said De Angelis.

After a successful year of podium finishes, the Master MVA Aspar rider finally took his elusive maiden victory at Valencia, allowing him to finish third in the 250cc category.
