MotoGP licensed board game goes on sale

The 2006 MotoGP World Championship season was so unpredictable that race winners could well have been decided on the throw of a dice, a fact not lost on the makers of a new board game on sale now in Spain, Portugal and online. TABLE-MotoGP, licensed by Dorna Sports, intends to recreate the excitement of the series in board game form, with a variety of different "tracks" and "riders" available from which to choose.

TABLE-MotoGP has a familiar face involved in its promotion, as former rider Randy Mamola will be the public face of the game on television. Riders For Health, the charity that he co-founded and which helps worthy causes in Africa, will receive 1 euro for every copy of the board game sold, which retails at 59.95 euros online and 49.95 euros from Spanish department store El Corte Ingles.

The game was presented to the public at the final Grand Prix of the 2006 season in Valencia, and went on sale on November 1st.
