Yet another experienced 125cc talent has announced a move up to the quarter litre category, with Julian Simon joining the Repsol Honda team for 2007.

Riding for KTM last season, the Spaniard was close to joining the team last season, as a replacement for Sebastian Porto after the Argentine star announced his retirement. However, bad luck struck Simon when he suffered a fractured femur in a crash during the Catalunya Grand Prix, throwing any immediate agreement out of the window.

"It's a great opportunity for me to be able to compete in a team as competitive as Repsol Honda," commented Simon. "Alberto Puig has supported me a lot, and both Harald Bartol and KTM have given me all the help I could ask for to be able to ride in 250cc next season."
