Kiefer BOS Racing still to confirm West status

Although yet to officially make an announcement on their 2007 plans, Kiefer BOS Racing are provisionally set to maintain their 250cc privateer setup for the coming season.

The German team, who last year competed with two riders in the quarter litre class, should continue to run with both a standard Aprilia as their bike and BOS Exhausts as their title sponsor. In 2006 the rider partnership consisted of Anthony West and Dirk Heidolf, and whilst the latter is confirmed to be staying put, West's future with the team is still in doubt.

Critical of his chances last year, the Australian managed to be a regular top ten finisher despite what he regarded as the thankless task of riding on non-factory machinery. After the final race of the season in Valencia, West posted a comment on his personal website stating that "The team has done a good job and I want to continue with this team next year when we have a better bike," although he is yet to re-sign and is currently assessing his options.
