Hayden: "I need to find the limits"

World Champion Nicky Hayden was the only Repsol Honda rider to test in Sepang, with team-mate Dani Pedrosa having undergone an operation on his arm last week. The absence of his Spanish counterpart had little effect on Hayden's work schedule, although the American was less than happy with the information gathered from a rain-hit three days of testing.

"We've got a lot of work to do, and I can't say that we've had the greatest three days. It's frustrating, but we have the right people here to turn things around and catch up. The bike is very different, and I need to find the limits," commented Hayden to motogp.com.

The final 990cc World Champion also had the opportunity to test out the RC212V in the rain, joined by Toni Elias as the only two to undertake wet weather laps on the new Honda.

"The bike was fun to ride in the rain, and we found a good direction with that so I'm glad that we decided to go out," added Hayden.
