Rabat runs to victory in penultimate CEV round

World Championship rider Esteve Rabat took victory and the runner-up spot in the Spanish 125cc championship on Sunday in the penultimate round of the CEV Buckler. The Honda rider crossed the line first by a margin of just three tenths of a second from Enrique Jerez, with recently crowned champion Pol Espargaro taking the final rostrum spot.

Espargaro was leading the race and looked on course to continue his winning streak during the first half of the race, but suffered a crash six laps from the chequered flag. Making his way back through the field after rejoining the race, Espargaro instead had to settle for third place on the podium.
