Aoyama pleased with Jerez test

Red Bull KTM's ace Hiroshi Aoyama had a productive three-day test this week at Jerez, clocking almost 250 laps on the Spanish track. The 25-year-old Japanese rider concentrated on testing new components and was very satisfied with the results.

"We had an extensive testing schedule, with a lot of work on the chassis and tyre tests for Dunlop. This test allowed us to confirm the potential of the chassis we previously tested in Valencia, so we found the direction to take with the 2007 bike. We tested some new front end parts which proved really interesting," said Aoyama.

"During the last day, we were constantly in the 1'43s. Overall, the lap times were good, but it's not unusual at this time of the year to do good times on this circuit. Now the team knows how to further improve the bike and what needs to be done."
