Heidolf signs contract with Kiefer BOS for 2007

German 250cc rider Dirk Heidolf, who already had a pre-contract signed with Kiefer BOS Racing for the 2007 season, finally put pen to paper on a concrete offer today in Idar Oberstein. Although Heidolf, recently treated for a leg injury suffered in Valencia, was unavailable for comment, Team Manager Stefan Kiefer did say a few words about the deal to keep the German with the privateer team.

"We are happy that we've got Dirk in our ranks for another season. It's our third year with him riding for us, but it really isn't a simple case of ‘business as usual'. In fact it's the opposite to that, as we have to up our level of technical support for Dirk and he has to show us his full potential," said Kiefer.

Heidolf is joined by Alex Baldolini in 2007, on a kit Aprilia. 2006 team-mate Anthony West's future is still up in the air, although it is believed that he has an exciting 250cc ride lined up.
