Dark Horses in 125cc: Tomoyoshi Koyama

Towards the end of last season it was announced that Japanese rider Tomoyoshi Koyama would be Red Bull KTM's big name rider in 125cc for 2007. With their duo of Julian Simon and Mika Kallio making the move up to 250cc, the place was open for a rider who could prove to be the surprise of the season in the lower cylinder category.

For Koyama, it is the opportunity to ride a competitive factory bike that he has been waiting for over the past two seasons. He burst onto the scene in 2005, winning the Rookie Of The Year award and finishing eighth overall, but last season he was plagued by injuries as he attempted to follow up such success.
