Yamaha chatter eliminated with 800cc switch

Yamaha Racing Team Director Davide Brivio spoke to motogp.com after the Sepang test, where his riders Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards will return for their second outing of 2007 from February 7th-9th.

The team will skip the Phillip Island test, which starts tomorrow, in order to further analyse data gathered from last week's extended race simulations. Rossi clocked the fastest lap of the three days, and for Brivio the move to 800cc has eliminated a previous problem with the Yamaha M1.

"We have forgotten about the chattering problems with the 800cc, which is a relief considering the difficulties it gave us last year. We still need to do some engine work, we will try and eek more power out of the bike, but the bike is going well and we've achieved some interesting lap times," commented Brivio.
