Academy trio tested off-track

Three of the Red Bull MotoGP Academys riders for 2007 underwent a medical and a strength test today at the Blume centre in Barcelona. Takaaki Nakagami, Jonas Folger and Isaac Vinyales have already spent a year under the wing of Alberto Puig and Raul Jara as part of the initiative which brought British rider Bradley Smith to the world stage, and were participants in the Spanish 125cc Championship last season.

Takaaki Nakagami, Jonas Folger and Isaac Vinyales have already spent a year under the wing of Alberto Puig and Raul Jara as part of the initiative which brought British rider Bradley Smith to the world stage, and were participants in the Spanish 125cc Championship last season.

The standout rider of three at this point has been German rider Folger, who finished third in the CEV Buckler. The fresh-faced trio will be joined by another, as-yet-unnamed rider in the Red Bell MotoGP Academys latest edition.
