Aspar teams to have variety of bikes for 2007

Jorge Martinez Aspar's 2-stroke teams have carried on from where they left off at the first tests of 2007, topping the timesheets on their first outings since the lifting of the winter testing ban.

Jorge Martinez Aspar's 2-stroke teams have carried on from where they left off at the first tests of 2007, topping the timesheets on their first outings since the lifting of the winter testing ban.

Winner of the final race of 2006, Alex de Angelis has been putting the finishing touches to the chassis which both he and 250cc debutant Alvaro Bautista will have at their disposal on their official bikes. Reigning 125cc World Champion Bautista is still working with last season's model, and has been outpacing the 2007 bike at early tests.

Once again the Aspar team is strongly represented in 125cc, with three riders battling it out in the lower cylinder class. Hector Faubel, Sergio Gadea and Gabor Talmacsi will all have factory bikes available, although whilst the Spanish riders will be using the new Aprilia RSA, Talmacsi will be using last year's RSV as he attempts to mount a title challenge.
