The hectic testing schedule of the MotoGP World Championship continues next week, with four teams heading to Sepang for more extensive practice onboard their new 800cc machines.

From Monday, the official Yamaha team, alongside the Tech 3 satellite team, will be joined by Kawasaki and Ilmor, the latter undertaking their first test outside of Europe at the three day session.

All eyes will be on Valentino Rossi at his second appearance of the year, with the Italian having topped the timesheets on his previous visit to Malaysia. Rossi today announced the renovation of his Yamaha contract until the end of the 2008 season, and will be joined by team-mate Colin Edwards to continue the development of the 800cc M1 at Sepang.

Tech 3 riders Makoto Tamada and Sylvain Guintoli will also be putting the bike through some rigourous work, although the satellite outfit will be doing so with Dunlop tyres. For Kawasaki, Randy de Puniet will be looking to follow on from his excellent lap times from last week, as he and team-mate Olivier Jacque work on the Ninja ZX-RR800.

Footage from the test is available through a one-off pre-season package.
