At a presentation organised to coincide with the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, the authorities of Jerez joined up with the Spanish Motorcycle Federation and MotoGP rights holders Dorna Sports to unveil the changes made to the Gran Premio bwin.com de España, the second race of the 2007 season.

Pilar Sanchez, mayoress of Jerez, underlined the importance of the World Championship's visit to Southern Spain "for the promotion and image of the city, and for the financial gain of Jerez." Sanchez also drew attention to the "effort and collaboration that the different administrations are doing to ensure that the safety and selling of the Grand Prix is a textbook model."

The Gran Premio bwin.com de España will undergo some small changes this season. Parking areas have been expanded, with two new zones tripling the available space. 24 hectares of official parking will be completely free, with new road exits being built to facilitate easy access to the track.
