A number of 125cc and 250cc teams will be on track tomorrow for the first of two days of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. A number of 125cc and 250cc teams will be on track tomorrow for the first of two days of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. Some will have already had recent experience of 2-stroke riding from a fortnight ago at Jerez or the snow-affected test at Valencia, whilst for others it will be an exciting debut appearance of 2007.

The official Aprilia and Honda teams will both be at the Spanish track, with 250cc World Champion and runner-up Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso the main attractions at Montmelo. The former will be debuting the new 2007 prototype with which he will attempt to retain the title this season.

Early pacesetter Hector Barbera, 2006 Privateer of the Year Roberto Locatelli and the Aspar, Metis Gilera and Repsol Honda teams will also be present, alongside, amongst others, former 125cc World Champion Thomas Luthi, the debuting Eugene Laverty and Australian star Anthony West.

In 125cc, the Bancaja Aspar team will attempt to maintain their stronghold at the top of the timesheets, with riders Hector Faubel, Sergio Gadea and new addition Gabor Talmacsi all putting the Aprilia through its paces. They will be joined by riders such as Mattia Pasini, Joan Olive, Lukas Pesek and 2006 Rookie of the Year Bradley Smith at the Circuit de Catalunya.
