Back at the scene of his first ever World Championship test, Bradley Smith was unable to put many miles on the clock of his Repsol Honda 125cc bike yesterday at Montmelo. The 16 year old spoke to motogp.com as the rain fell in Spain, expressing disappointment at being unable to get into his stride.

"Its frustrating, because you get onto the track and can't get a rhythm going, but I know that all teams are in the same situation," commented Smith. "We had the perfect preseason plan, but the rain has followed us everywhere."

One notable detail about the 2006 Rookie Of The Year's bike was on the left handlebar, where the clutch lever was engraved with the name of MotoGP rider Dani Pedrosa. The Oxfordshire schoolboy shed some light on the situation at the end of the day's session.

"Its just the lever that is from Dani's old bike, and it has his name because we didn't have any others that I felt comfortable with. Myself and Esteve Rabat are both using the two available levers, and I hope it can help me to get a good start at races next season. Then we'll see about getting my own name somewhere on the bike!," concluded the Brit.
