Lorenzo Working With New Aprilia Chassis

250cc World Champion Jorge Lorenzo was the fastest rider at last week's quarter litre test at Circuit de Catalunya, clocking a 1'46.8 lap of the Spanish track. Receiving no small amount of help from Aprilia test rider Alex Debon, who dedicated himself to trying out the new chassis come rain or shine, Lorenzo had a productive two days of testing.

Lorenzo spoke to motogp.com at the conclusion of the final day, and explained some of the work that he has been undertaking.

"We've started to use the new chassis. It's definitely not like the old one, but the times are quite similar. I don't yet have the confidence with the new one, but my style is improving alongside it," said the charismatic champion, who also paid tribute to work carried out by Alex Debon; "A great rider and a great person, his work is very important for us."

Lorenzo tests from today in Almeria, in contrast to a number of teams choosing to continue their preseason in Valencia.
