Bautista assesses Jerez sessions

Following the conclusion of the 250cc Official Test, Alvaro Bautista evaluated the work he was able to undertake in Jerez this week. Despite the wind and rain which affected the teams on the second and final day, the 125cc World Champion completed a total of 32 laps, focussing analysis on the chassis of his new Aprilia RSW 250.

"I have been comparing this year's chassis with the one from last year and noting the differences. I believe that we have found a positive line to continue testing in the next session", explained the Spanish rider.

"Entering corners seems to be easier, the braking is a little more stable than with the last year's chassis, which often produced chattering on entering corners. The worse thing about this new chassis is response of the rear end. On acceleration it moves around a lot and takes effort to keep the bike under control. We have to work on that", he continued.

In his interview with motogp.com, Bautista also explained that he will continue his work with the new chassis during next week's 250 Official Test in Qatar, with the aim of perfecting the bike's settings for the first Grand Prix of the year at the same venue on 10th March.
