San Marino's MotoGP venue is due to open it's gates on 29th March, well ahead of the 2nd September 2007 Gran Premio Cinzano di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

The final improvement work being undertaken at Misano is proceeding well on schedule, thanks to cooperation of all involved. The relatively good weather conditions being experienced during the Italian winter, with virtually no rain, have provided certain advantages regarding the scheduling programme and the opportunity to carry out jobs on site with maximum care.

The race track itself will have its surface laid in March, while currently all efforts are focused on the completing the track's surroundings.

The scheduled reopening date is confirmed as 29th March, following an official FIM Committee inspection. A press conference will then be held to officially present the renovated circuit, which will this year hold its first Grand Prix since 1993.
