Final day of 250cc preseason is underway

The final day of the 250cc preseason got underway this morning in Qatar, with the skies remaining clear and yesterday's strong winds dying down somewhat. After yesterday's session and the appearance of bikes on track over the past week, the track is comparitively cleaner than normal, and the quarter litre riders are making the most of the conditions to again put in a large number of laps.

Hector Barbera has been the fastest rider of the day thus far, clocking a 2'00.507 lap as part of an extended run. The Spaniard has been quicker than both Alvaro Bautista- holder of yesterday's fastest time - and Alex de Angelis.

Jorge Lorenzo has continued to work on a pair of chassis to find the most appropriate for the Losail International Circuit, although his fastest lap as of 1pm local time has been half a second off that of former team-mate Barbera.

Full report to follow at the conclusion of the day's events.
