Additional day added after postponed Qatar 125cc outing

Having missed the first of two scheduled practice sessions after a sandstorm postponed yesterday's action, the 125cc teams were finally on track for their final test of the season in Qatar today.

Having missed the first of two scheduled practice sessions after a sandstorm postponed yesterday's action, the 125cc teams were finally on track for their final test of the season in Qatar today.

IRTA have given the all-clear to a proposed additional day of testing tomorrow, with the object of recovering the missed session. Hoping to continue at the top of the timesheets will be Gabor Talmacsi, who today headed the field with a 2'07.540 lap of the Losail International Circuit.

Just behind the Bancaja Aspar rider, Lukas Pesek once again impressed on the Derbi as the only other rider to break the 2'08 mark. After another Aspar Aprilia, that of Hector Faubel, Mike di Meglio had his best session to date riding the fastest Honda of the day. Raffaelle de Rosa and Esteve Rabat completed the top six.

British rider Bradley Smith finished just outside the top ten in eleventh place.
