Hayden looking forward to ‘bouncing back'

Although Nicky Hayden did not have the start to the 2007 season that he would have liked, the World Champion is looking forward to ‘bouncing back' at this Sunday's race at Jerez. Speaking to motogp.com at yesterday's Repsol Honda presentation, Hayden analysed the chances of success at the Spanish circuit.

"The weather was an issue at the last test nearly a month ago, so we'll see how it is when we get there. I'm looking forward to bouncing back after Qatar, its only been one race so far," commented the American.

When asked about the power shown by the Ducati riders, who topped the speed charts at Losail, ‘The Kentucky Kid' was philosophical. "I can't worry too much about the Ducati, I just have to focus on how Honda will go at the track," he said. "We had some good tests here in preseason, although I missed one, but I know that the bikes will work well. I'm just going to go out and try and have some fun."

"It's no secret that Honda still have some work to do, and that the 800cc switch hasn't been perfect, but I know that they are working hard and that they won't take defeat lying down," concluded Hayden
