Qatar race winner Casey Stoner was alongside Valentino Rossi, Toni Elias, Dani Pedrosa and Loris Capirossi in this afternoon's press conference ahead of the Gran Premio bwin.com de España:

Casey Stoner

It's a long season, so we need to continue the form we're in from Qatar. I don't know how long this run of leading the championship is going to last, so maybe it's best to enjoy it and take the photos now. I was very happy with the Ducati performance in Qatar, the speed was pleasing. Now we come to a different track, where testing didn't go quite as well as at Losail.

Valentino Rossi

Jerez is a special place for me. I remember back in the Aprilia days I used to test a lot here, and I've raced many times at the track. Now we are back to Europe for a normal GP, with lots of fans and a full paddock. I think there was a massive difference between us and Ducati in terms of horsepower in Qatar, but I think that we will be okay following the test setting from last month here. I was a bit worried about my race simulation, because it wasn't as fast as I would have expected, but we'll see.

Toni Elias

It's a great atmosphere here, but it's like any other Grand Prix for me in terms of what I need to do. The new tyre regulations will not change so much for me, but the problem we have now is finding the right setup because of the delay in switching to Bridgestone tyres in preseason.

Dani Pedrosa

The Grand Prix will be different to testing. The speed of the Ducati was enormous, but I think the advantage will be smaller here. I think after one race I enjoy the 800cc more than the 990cc. This race is a different atmosphere, but it only affects me when I am trying to go to the bathroom or walking round the paddock, not when I'm on the track.

Loris Capirossi

I will be riding my 250th Grand Prix this weekend, but I still enjoy riding as much as at my first race. I have good memories from last year's race here at Jerez, and I'm ready to start again tomorrow after Casey's great performance. I am confident here despite not having that good a test, and this weekend will be very special for me as I await the birth of my son. I have told my wife to try and wait until Sunday evening!
