Lorenzo: 'More fans means more responsibility'

Ahead of his home race at Jerez, Jorge Lorenzo took time out from his preparations to hold a special press conference for the national press. The Spaniard was in fine humour as he spoke of his will to repeat his first ever 250cc victory at the track, and was as quotable as ever.

"At other races I might settle for second if there was too small a gap to overtake, but here I will go for victory no matter what. The more people that there are cheering me, the more responsibility I have to make sure they go home happy," commented Lorenzo. "I think I have a good relationship with the press. I always try and say something interesting, and although maybe I come across as a little arrogant, not everything that I say I seriously mean."
