When the Bennetts British Superbikes Championship recommences on Easter Monday (9th April) Ryuichi Kiyonari and Leon Haslam are sure to be two of the front runners at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.

Round one of the championship will see Kiyonari begin his title defence riding in HM Plant Honda colours for the fourth successive year. Having secured Honda's first BSB title in two decades last year the champion starts the 2007 season with an ominous message for his rivals, stating simply: "I ride very hard and fast, and want to win to keep the title."

Airwaves Ducati's Haslam was the 2006 runner-up, but is determined to push on a level this year, commenting: "I intend to start where I left off, and this is by winning. Throughout testing I have run fast and I have a good team around me. The Grand Prix circuit is fantastic, awesome to ride and a great place to start the championship. It has history and pedigree with World Championship action and is one of my favourites."

In addition to last season's front two, the 20 year-old Ulsterman Jonathan Rea, who has taken many by surprise with his pace in pre-season testing following his move into the factory Honda team for 2007, and Haslam's team-mate Gregorio Lavilla, will also be pushing for victories in what promises to be another exciting year of racing.
