Luthi feeling the difference after cylinder category progression

250cc rider Thomas Luthi has been combining holidays with training over the past week, taking a trip to Egypt on a kitesurfing excursion.

The former 125cc World Champion- one of a star-studded group of newcomers in the quarter litre category that includes Alvaro Bautista, Mika Kallio and Julian Simon- has been impressive at the start of the season in spite of a crash at the last race at Jerez, but has indicated that at the remainder of the circuits he may have things more difficult.

"Being in a different class means that every circuit feels new to me. At the first two races I had the opportunity to test beforehand, which helped me to adapt, but Turkey is going to be very different. I have really noted the change from 125cc to 250cc in just two races, because the races are a lot more intense and competitive," commented the Emme Caffe Latte rider, who has also changed factories since last season.

"I'm very comfortable working with Aprilia, and they are giving me a lot of support, so I'm feeling pretty happy about the change," concluded Luthi.
