Following on from yesterday's news that Kev Cochlan will stand in for the injured Mike di Meglio in the 125cc Grand Prix of Turkey, Team Scot's 250cc riders have also added their views on the Istanbul Park circuit.

Andrea Dovizioso, last year's 250cc World Championship runner up, was third in the 2006 race despite the track not being exactly to his taste. The Italian lies in third overall after his podium finish at Jerez, and could once again be part of an exciting battle for victory.

"The Istanbul track isn't one that I prefer, it's technical and very fast and last year I rode few laps in dry conditions because the second day of qualifying practice was wet. Despite this I finished third, and I hope to get a good result this year. As always I will try my best."

Yuki Takahashi was also amongst the top six last year, finishing fifth in the exciting 2006 race. His slow road back to full fitness continues as he recovers from a broken leg, but it hasn't stopped Takahashi from making his mark on the quarter litre category to put himself in fifth place in the classification.

"Turkey is longer and faster compared to Jerez; I like it and I think that the ride required is apt for my still low right leg sensitivity. After the Jerez race until now I've continued my rehabilitation and I'm confident, last year I got a good position and I want to repeat it."
