Nakano out to mark premier class Grand Prix number 100 with strong result

Shinya Nakano should, if all goes according to plan, participate in his 100th premier class Grand Prix this Sunday in Turkey.

Shinya Nakano should, if all goes according to plan, participate in his 100th premier class Grand Prix this Sunday in Turkey. The Japanese rider, in his debut season with Konica Minolta Honda, spoke to motogp.com ahead of the first practice sessions at Istanbul Park to give his views on the milestone.

"To be honest, I hadn't realised that it was my 100th Grand Prix in MotoGP until somebody told me!" commented Nakano. "It will be important to get a good result from this race to mark the occasion, because where I have been in the last two races isn't exactly where I'd like. The track seems to be good for Honda, so I will see tomorrow how we go."
