With Dunlop the only tyre manufacturer not affected by the new regulations in force as of the start of 2007, Turkey was always going to be a track at which they held a slight edge over competitors Michelin and Bridgestone. However, as Jeremy Ferguson from the factory explained to motogp.com yesterday, the way they are looking to make the most of this isn't quite how some might expect.

"In terms of tyres, we don't really bring any more than the other manufacturers," said Ferguson. "It's more a case of us having more compounds to work with. The Turkish weather hasn't been as unpredictable as normal, because we've had bright sunshine."
