Pasini looking good again on Saturday morning After taking provisional pole yesterday Mattia Pasini finished at the top of the timesheets in the second session of 125cc free practice on a pleasant Saturday morning at Istanbul Park.

With the track in better condition than yesterday, the Italian Polaris World rider recorded a best lap of 2´04.324, well over a second faster than his best time of yesterday, to put him at the head of a group of five Aprilia riders at the business end of the timings.

Spaniard Hector Faubel (Bancaja Aspar) lapped 0.138s slower than Pasini while another Italian, Simone Corsi (Skilled Racing Team), was the only other rider going round in under 2'05.000.

Faubel's compatriot and team-mate Sergio Gadea and the Pasini's Polaris World colleague Joan Olive, completed that list of Aprilia riders in the top five. After them, in sixth position, was Red Bull KTM's Tomoyoshi Koyama and then British youngster Bradley Smith of Respsol Honda in seventh place, continuing his good work after his success yesterday morning.

Michael Ranseder of Ajo Motorsport, Lukas Pesek from the Valsir Seedorf Racing team and Raffaele de Rosa of Multimedia Racing completed the list of the ten fastest riders in the morning session.

Belson Campetella Aprilia's Pol Espargaro suffered a light crash without any after effects, while at the end of the session Pasini had an off-track excursion as he tried to beat his own time. Also Gadea and Dino Lombardi were involved in a minor incident which resulted in both leaving the asphalt, but again no damage was done.
