Following mixed results for his riders in qualification for the Sinopec Great Wall Lubricants Grand Prix of China, including a crash for Loris Capirossi, Ducati Marlboro boss Livio Suppo gave motogp.com his thoughts on the day's action.

Suppo also saw Casey Stoner finish the qualifying session in fourth place, meaning a second row start for the young Australian in the Sinopec Great Wall Lubricants Grand Prix of China.

Meanwhile Capirossi has to settle for a fifth row start after his qualifying attempts were hindered by a collision which saw Rizla Suzuki's Chris Vermeulen run into the side of the Italian veteran on a corner.

On Capirossi's misfortunate Suppo commented: "It's a pity for Loris that he was together with Vermeulen in the crash, because he will start very bad and his lap time on the second split was good so I'm sure he would've started front or second row and now he has to start from the fifth."
