24 – Andrea Dovizioso has finished in the points at the last 24 successive races. In the 58 year history of Grand Prix racing only six riders have had longer sequences of successive point scoring finishes in the 250cc class.

8.64 seconds – The time covering the first 12 riders to cross the line in the 125cc race at the last Grand Prix in Shanghai, making it the fifth closest top 12 in the 58 year history of Grand Prix racing.

7 – The number of MotoGP victories scored by Ducati riders in the 21 races since the start of the 2006 season. This compares with eight victories for Honda and six for Yamaha.

4 – The first four races of the year in the 125cc class have been won by four different riders. This has occurred just three times previously in the 125cc class; in 1951, 2000 and 2005.
