Lorenzo in forgiving mood after Le Mans collision

Jorge Lorenzo's skill as a rider has never been in doubt, but recently the reigning 250cc World Champion has shown a new string to his bow in the form of an improved sense of strategy and restrain.

Jorge Lorenzo's skill as a rider has never been in doubt, but recently the reigning 250cc World Champion has shown a new string to his bow in the form of an improved sense of strategy and restrain.

The Spain's No1 Aprilia rider is aware that it is not always possible to win races from the front, and also demonstrated his composure by shaking off the likes of Thomas Luthi and Alvaro Bautista in the early stages. In another noteworthy display of maturity from the Spaniard, he also paid tribute to rivals Alex de Angelis, Bautista and Andrea Dovizioso, and forgave the latter for their on-track collision when they came together on Sunday when riding different lines.

With four wins in the bag, and a 32 point advantage over his rivals, Lorenzo can afford to be more generous than expected with his praise, but is aware that he has to continue his winning ways in order to retain the hotly-desired quarter litre crown.
