The Polaris World team –who line up riders Joan Olive and Mattia Pasini in the 125cc World Championship- have taken steps towards a new project for 2008.

SSM Racing, the banner which houses Polaris World, have put forward the creation of a program designed to discover new racing talents, headed by Manuel Burillo. The Spaniard leaves his position as Polaris World Manager to dedicate himself fully to the new initiative, which counts amongst its goals participation in the 2008 CEV Spanish Championship.

"We thank Manuel Burillo for his contribution to SSM Racing," declared SSM president Augusto Abril. "He leaves the World Championship to dedicate himself exclusively to finding young Spanish talent."

Abril also passed comment on Polaris World's season so far, indicating that the team "have the best bikes and the fastest rider in Mattia Pasini. Joan Olive is becoming more and more competitive, and we expect for results to come soon."
