After missing his home Grand Prix at Le Mans two weeks ago, Olivier Jacque returns to action for Kawasaki at the Gran Premio d'Italia Alice. The former 250cc World Champion is still nursing an injured arm after suffering a nasty crash in Shanghai, but states that he is ready to race at Mugello.

"I was hoping to be back for Le Mans, but the doctors told me that it would be impossible," said Jacque, who was replaced by Fonsi Nieto for the French race. "I had the stitches taken out of my arm and began stretching it recently, and I have just been resting and rehabilitating it to get back for Mugello."

Although Jacque is still wearing a bandage over what had been a nasty open wound, he will not experience any lasting damage to the limb. "I have full feeling in my arm, so there are no problems there," he explained. "I'm looking forward to getting back on track and making the most of the Kawasaki and Bridgestones which have been working very well this season."
