Valentino Rossi's elaborate livery designs are the stuff of MotoGP folklore and his latest effort has got fans guessing what he is trying to say with a big red heart on displayed for the first time on top of his helmet, at his home race.

Normally Rossi has an amusing explanation for his radical designs, with his furry number 46 on the back of his leathers apparently representing the rabbit he intends to pull out of the hat this year, as he seeks to regain the title he lost last year to Nicky Hayden.

The Italian superstar aims to win his sixth home Grand Prix in succession this weekend but when asked about wearing his heart on his helmet the 28 year-old five time former MotoGP champion enigmatically explained that the design is open to the interpretation of all his fans.
