The Gran Premio d'Italia Alice podium finishers in the 125cc race gave their thoughts after a superb battle at Mugello.

Hector Faubel Bancaja Aspar (winner, 40'14.164)
"A perfect day, pole, a win and the championship lead. The race wasn't a great start, when Pasini was leading the pace slowed down and the group was on us again, the pace was as always very close, in the end I entered the final straight third, the best place for the Mugello finish line and then I won."

Sergio Gadea Bancaja Aspar (2nd, 40'14.184)
"I'm not really satisfied, we had some problems during the weekend and the set up was not quite perfect so the race was a blind guess. It's quite a pity not to have won, but it's ok. The main problem was with the tyres, I run out of them quite quickly and couldn't really find the pace I was looking for."

Simone Corsi Skilled Racing Team (3rd, 40'14.230)
"It's a great thing to be on the podium in my home race, in front of this great crowd and I'm really really happy. I've tried to win but also the other guys were there to do the same and were all fast. I think the race strategy we chose was ok, again I'm pretty happy about the result and thanks to everyone, my team, and Giampiero Sacchi."
